What is AdBlue / SCR system in New Holland vehicles?

All New Holland diesel vehicles have an AdBlue system fitted if they are used on public roads, in order to reduce NOx emissions.

The AdBlue is a complex catalyst system fitted next to the exhaust. This system causes the SCR process – selective catalytic reduction. Thanks to this chemical process, NOx emissions coming from the diesel engine are reduced.

How does the New Holland SCR / Adblue system work?

The reduction process in your New Holland vehicle is possible when the exhaust gases get combined with ammonia (DEF – diesel emissions fluid). The AdBlue liquid agent consists of 32.5% highly pure urea and 67.5% deionized water.

This liquid is injected just ahead of the SCR catalyst. There, it causes a chemical reaction and turns NOx into clean and harmless nitrogen and water.

All sounds good, but the problem is that the AdBlue system can cause many issues in your vehicle. That is why many New Holland owners and operators prefer our New Holland AdBlue removal.

Why do you need New Holland AdBlue removal?

As a New Holland owner or operator, you may know that the New Holland SCR after-treatment system can cause serious damage to your vehicle engine. While it is effective, reducing NOx emissions, there are many problematic components, including pumps, sensors, and other modules. All that means a lot of things can go wrong and when this happens, it can be very expensive indeed.

The potential costs of repairing and maintenance can be quite high while the cost of replacing the SCR system – even more!

Not only that but you have to refuel the AdBlue liquid agent daily in a large amount. On average, larger vehicles use between four and six gallons of AdBlue per 100 gallons of fuel.

Choose our New Holland AdBlue removal (New Holland DEF delete) via ECU remapping and notice the difference! Learn more about why do you need New Holland tuning.
